PSA (Public Service Announcement)

this video is not to Degrade any mothers in fact I support them because minds is strong and also a single parent. So it’s more of and encouragement to parents to strive for more and don’t give up

The assignment was to create a PSA (Public Service Announcement). We were told we need and idea of some short to focus our public service announcement on. We would also need music and still life’s or motion clips to get out point across, while also using three facts to support our public service announcement. To have these things where basically the outline of the project not a lot of bounders should be something you care about.

 

     My issue I choose to do my public service announcement on was Child abandonment. Statistics i used where that most abandonees happen because of finical strain, fear, and ect. Another was that a survey showed that 65 babies had been reported abandoned, and also the last one the illness of abandonment leaves on children and how it is hard for them to cope with the absence. I used clips of neglected kids and sad teen moms, the song I used is 2 Pac’s Brenda gotta baby.

 

     This issue is worth making a public service announcement because to this day kids are still neglected and as bad as the economy is and how teens are getting pregnant I wouldn't be surprised if the abandonees numbers has not went up. I support the negative side of going along with this abuse full act of crime. I think with the sad images of neglected kids sad teen moms and 2 Pac’s sad yet inspirational song about the struggle of a teen mom who abandoned her baby, it shows that we can do better than this.

 

     On this project I think I did very well because I got my point across, and it was very clear also. I think the best part is near the end because I think that is where you really realized what is going on around us and that we need to stop this for the sake of the kids. Skills I took away from this was that a Public Service Announcement does not have to be long and boring, but it doesn't have to be a prompting of something either. I have learned how to put that understanding into something I care sincerely about. If I was able to do this again I probably try to use motion clips instead of still life’s to capture more emotion about my next topic.
